Washington State Drug Crimes:
Aggressive Defense, Here and Now
If you or someone you love has been arrested and charged with a drug crime, the future may look fairly grim. Faced with this situation, many individuals decide that their best option is to throw themselves at the mercy of the prosecutor. Unfortunately, prosecutors and judges don't owe you any favors. They might do you one, but chances are at least as good that they will not.
In other words, until you've talked to an attorney about what your rights and options really are — don't talk.
At Ronnie Rae & Associates, we represent individuals throughout Washington State who have been charged with drug crimes of every type. We know Washington's drug laws very well and we have been very successful at helping many of our previous clients to minimize or avoid the consequences of a conviction. Talk to us and find out what we can do for you too.
Students: A drug conviction can mean no more federal student loans. Our attorneys know the stakes and can provide you with the effective defense representation you need to fight these charges. Take action to preserve your loan eligibility today by contacting an attorney at Ronnie Rae & Associates.
What Are My Rights and Defense Options?
No matter what type of drug crime has been alleged, your rights as a criminal defendant do not change. That said, the options you have available can be limited by factors such as a previous drug conviction, the specific charges and even the county where the charges have been filed.
For instance, if you are a first-time offender charged with simple drug possession, chances are good that our lawyers will be able to get you placed into a diversion program that, if successfully completed, will keep a conviction off of your criminal record. In some counties, drug court may be an option as well. If, on the other hand, you have been arrested and charged with a major felony such as drug manufacturing or distribution, options might be limited and a different course of action required.
Our firm also handles cases involving medicinal marijuana and underage persons.
